Overtown is the brainchild of French-American singer Zachary Pascaud and Grammy-nominated producer Tancrede Rouff. Both met as teenagers in New York City’s French Lycée, whose former students include Julian Casablancas of the Strokes, Mika and Nicolas Jaar.
Overtown’s music is overwhelmingly emotional: whether it’s melancholic, angry, sarcastic or sad. It blends the raspy, melancholic alternative rock vocals of the Strokes or Car Seat Headrest with various indie, pop, electronic and Midwest emo elements.
Key contributors to Overtown include Mixing Engineer/Berklee Professor Rachel Alina and 6x Grammy-nominated producer Ian Kimmel, who have dedicated their time and talent to support their releases.
